We are delighted to share with you some very exciting breaking news: the government has just announced the sign off on a major accessibility work programme.

In the press release, Minister Sepuloni says Cabinet has approved a work programme to thoroughly explore how we can achieve full accessibility for disabled people and all New Zealanders. She also affirms this will involve collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders, including the Access Alliance. The Access Alliance was invited to contribute a comment in the press release, which you can read in full below.

Minister Sepuloni will be taking the opportunity in the Parliamentary question time today to discuss this development in reply a question from Greg O’Connor MP.

Inclusive NZ has been working hard in the Access Alliance group and are excited to be a part of something so significant.
